News from dad's appointment today was that the cancer is not in his bones, (hooray)!!! The prostate cancer is concentrated in the prostate area. They were given many options, radiation is one, surgery another. However, his follow-up from throat cancer is March 16, if the cancer in throat is gone, then they feel radiation for prostate would be beneficial. If cancer in throat is not gone then surgery to remove the prostate should happen. Dr stated prior to the surgery they would check lymph nodes for cancer. If cancer is in his lymph nodes, no surgery necessary.
We lift him up to God! Despite the cancer, this is good news for now. God Bless my folks in the next few weeks as they make decisions and begin another journey! We love you so very much!!
